alien lanes is a 1995 lofi indie rock album by the band guided by voices. gbv is my favorite band, and alien lanes is pretty much what got me into the band.
this album is one of their most popular, and was one of the reasons that the band was a success. guided by voices really shaped the lofi scene, and this album is a perfect example of how they did it.
personally, one of my favorite songs on the album is "they're not witches".
so,have a listen to this album. it's one of gbv's best albums, and that's saying a lot, as almost every song they make is a banger in my opinion.
